The Community Access and Urban Services Enhancement Project II (CAUSE II) has unveiled its upgraded official website cause2si.site offering the public, partners, and stakeholders an immersive and data-driven window into the project’s progress across Solomon Islands. The new version, CAUSE II Website 2.2025, marks a major step forward in promoting transparency, accountability, and real-time access to development information for communities and institutions alike.

At the heart of the new site is the CAUSE II Public Disclosure Dashboard, an open, interactive platform that allows visitors to explore all ongoing and completed subprojects in Honiara, Auki, Gizo, and Noro. Through an intuitive map-based interface, users can visualize projects geographically, browse detailed information on infrastructure improvements, and observe tangible progress through geotagged “before, during, and after” photos. Each subproject includes clear details on its location, type, and implementation approach—helping the public understand how CAUSE II investments are shaping urban resilience, accessibility, and community well-being.

The interactive dashboard goes beyond traditional reporting. It integrates real-time project tracking, including monthly progress updates and dynamic S-curve analytics, allowing users to visualize how each project is performing against timelines and budgets. The dashboard also provides advanced filtering tools so visitors can view projects by component, status, or urban center, helping researchers, journalists, and policy partners extract insights relevant to their sectors.

This open-access design reflects CAUSE II’s commitment to making development data transparent, inclusive, and actionable. The platform also showcases how digital tools can strengthen urban governance by giving the public the means to monitor progress, learn about project objectives, and provide informed feedback.

The website captures CAUSE II’s wide-ranging scope across five strategic components:

Resilient Township Development – Building and upgrading climate-resilient infrastructure and access roads.

Safe and Inclusive Communities – Improving safety and resilience in vulnerable urban settlements.

Enhanced Urban Productivity – Creating training and livelihood opportunities through community-based contracts.

Urban Management and Land Administration – Strengthening systems for planning, revenue collection, and land record digitization.

Project Management – Ensuring efficiency, oversight, and transparency across implementation.

Beyond its data-driven dashboard, the site features a comprehensive news and updates section, highlighting recent milestones such as road restoration initiatives, pre-construction meetings focused on environmental safeguards, and inclusive contracting models that empower local firms and community groups.

CAUSE II’s new digital face also acknowledges the crucial role of its development partners — the World Bank and the Australian Government — and the Solomon Islands Government, whose collaboration continues to drive sustainable urban transformation and climate-resilient service delivery.

Visitors are encouraged to explore, interact, and learn from the platform. By simply navigating to cause2si.site and clicking “Explore Projects”, users can experience how data transparency connects communities to the progress happening around them.

CAUSE II Website 2.2025 stands as both a disclosure tool and a public learning space, symbolizing the project’s evolving journey toward empowered, informed, and resilient urban communities across the Solomon Islands.
