Progress Continues on Ports Area Footpath in Noro Under CAUSE II

Significant progress has been made on the Ports Area Footpath in Noro, Western Province, under the Community Access and Urban Services Enhancement II (CAUSE II) Project. This week, Segment 1 of the footpath was fully completed, marking a major milestone for the local Project Implementation Unit (PIU). Segment 2 is also nearing completion, with only 60 metres of work remaining.

Despite logistical challenges in transporting gravel and sand to the site—caused by accessibility issues and unpredictable weather—the construction team remains committed and on schedule. Work on the final section of Segment 2 is planned for the upcoming week.

The improved footpath will enhance pedestrian safety and provide better access for local communities and businesses in this growing township.
